Have you ever noticed that when you have a sudden idea to do something, you get very excited.
On the first day or even in the present, you will do a lot of homework, such as buying books, researching, writing and drawing, sharing ideas with others. You will be so enthusiastic that you may even stay up late that night, very pure and persistent.
The next day, your enthusiasm has already decreased by half. Unlike yesterday’s positivity, you will start to consider many obstacles, such as high costs, insufficient time, and no way to start, and then become passive and slack off.
After a few days of decadence, perhaps one will regain the enthusiasm of the first day, repeating this process, but the ultimate result is failure.
Recently, while chatting with colleagues, I mentioned that I wanted to write a copy about “World Youth Skills Day (7.15)”. So, I asked my colleagues if there are any inspiring skilled youth around us.
Two beautiful girls in the office told me his story.
I am surprised, but more importantly, I admire.
His name is Wang Dong and he currently serves as the head of the company’s mechanical maintenance department. He joined Dongguan Liansheng Non woven Fabric Co., Ltd. in May 2020 and worked for other companies before entering Dongguan Liansheng. He has been working at Liansheng for nearly 5 years now.
As a newcomer to the company, he was assigned the position of workshop operator in the factory. After working for six months, he came up with a bold idea.
After a year and a half of self-study, Wang Dong successfully entered the positions of electrician and maintenance. In 2021, due to personnel changes in the company, Wang Jingrong was transferred from the workshop operator position to work in electrician and equipment maintenance. He continues to strive in his position to this day.
For this experience of counterattack, Wang Dong was deeply touched. He admitted that there is nothing that cannot be done well as long as you want to do it and work hard.
In Liansheng, Dongguan, there are many people like Wang Dong who counterattack. Perhaps their positions are different, or perhaps their paths are different.
However, their firm determination to change is the same, and the efforts they put in for it are equally arduous.
Many times, there are too many things we want to do and too many things we need to do, but there are very few things we can do.
July 15th is World Youth Skills Day. At the beginning of the establishment of the United Nations, it was intended to encourage and call on young people to pursue skills, strive to improve their own skills, master core technologies, enhance their economic foundation, and solve the problems of youth unemployment and insufficient employment rate.
Learning a skill is not difficult
The difficulty is to keep striving and learning until you master its core technology.
No matter what job or position you are currently in, you should remember that mastering a skill is crucial because it is the cornerstone of our society.
