Recently, Xiang Feng, President of Tiandingfeng, accepted a visit from Lin Shaozhong of Dongguan Liansheng Nonwoven Technology Co., Ltd. and introduced Tiandingfeng’s latest progress in technological innovation, industrial upgrading, and the new blueprint for global development.

Tiandingfeng is a large enterprise dedicated to the research and development and production of various high-tech nonwoven materials. Its main business involves waterproof roll polyester base fabric, high-strength coarse denier polypropylene filament needle-punched geotextile, high-performance nonwoven geosynthetics and other fields. After years of rapid development, Tiandingfeng now has 46 world-leading “one-step” polyester spunbond needle-punched base fabric production lines and is an important global polyester base fabric production supplier.
During CINTE25, Tiandingfeng will focus on displaying high-strength coarse denier polypropylene filament needle-punched geotextile products. This product has the advantages of high strength, high elongation, corrosion resistance, and wear resistance. It is a key geotechnical construction material urgently needed in cutting-edge national defense fields such as coastal defense islands and reefs, aircraft carrier military ports, border fortifications, military tunnels, fighter take-off and landing runways, as well as marine ports, embankment protection, high-speed railways, highways, civil aviation airports, landfills, and other national economy and people’s livelihood fields.
“Based on the ‘Key Technology and Industrialization of High-Strength Coarse Denier Polypropylene Spunbond Needle-Punched Geotextile Preparation’ project, we have made major breakthroughs in key technologies and equipment such as micro-modification of polypropylene, slow cooling and solidification of filaments-multi-stage composite drafting and its dynamic laying, efficient lubrication of filaments and low-loss consolidation, and high-uniformity biaxial stretching heat setting. We have formed a complete set of high-strength coarse denier polypropylene spunbond needle-punched geotextile production technology system with independent intellectual property rights, and built the first high-strength coarse denier polypropylene spunbond needle-punched geotextile production line in China with a production capacity of 8,000 tons/year. It is worth mentioning that the project won the China Textile Industry Federation Technology Award in 2024. First Prize for Progress Award. At present, the high-strength coarse denier polypropylene spunbond needle-punched geotextile series products we developed have been promoted and applied to many major projects at home and abroad, with a total application area of over 100 million square meters. For example, in the construction of the runway and apron of Beijing Daxing International Airport, 3 million square meters of high-strength coarse denier polypropylene spunbond needle-punched geotextiles for pavement isolation developed by us were laid. Practice has proved that high-strength coarse denier polypropylene spunbond needle-punched geotextiles fully meet the needs of major projects, breaking the situation of long-term dependence on imports of high-strength coarse denier polypropylene spunbond needle-punched geotextiles in China, and providing strong support for the construction of a modern infrastructure system. “Xiang Feng said.

According to reports, Tiandingfeng independently developed a “one-step” polyester spunbond needle-punched tire base fabric production line with independent intellectual property rights. This technology innovatively invented the large tow and less drafting tube technology. On the basis of ensuring sufficient airflow drafting, it effectively reduces the consumption of compressed air for airflow drafting, which not only ensures the high quality of polyester spunbond spinning, but also ensures high-quality filament separation and web formation. The energy-saving effect is significant, saving more than 30% energy per ton compared with similar domestic technology products. At the same time, Tiandingfeng introduced ERP, WMS and other systems to realize full-process intelligent management, and upgraded its “smart” manufacturing capabilities through robot technology and automated production lines. For example, innovative applications such as full-process automation of starch transportation and online defect detection have significantly improved the stability of product quality. Xiang Feng further stated: “Through the deep integration of informatization and industrialization, we can also communicate closely with customers, quickly understand market needs, and provide customers with personalized products and professional solutions.”
Based on the development of new quality productivity, Tiandingfeng has achieved high-quality development of the company and has also won many honors. Currently, Tiandingfeng has four wholly-owned domestic subsidiaries, namely Tiandingfeng Nonwovens Co., Ltd., Tiandingfeng Polypropylene Materials Technology Co., Ltd., Chuzhou Tiandingfeng Nonwovens Co., Ltd., and Changde Tiandingfeng Nonwovens Co., Ltd., as well as two wholly-owned overseas subsidiaries, namely Tiandingfeng Middle East Co., Ltd. and Tiandingfeng Canada Nonwovens Co., Ltd., with an annual production capacity of 280,000 tons of nonwovens.
Speaking of the global layout, Xiang Feng said: “In 2024, we successfully signed a contract with the Saudi Industrial City and Technology Park Authority to open a new chapter of globalization. The project plans to build two glass fiber reinforced polyester tire base fabric production lines and two polyester tire base fabric production lines with an annual production capacity of 25,000 tons. The project has officially started in February 2025 and is expected to be fully put into production by the end of the year. It will become an important benchmark for the local manufacturing industry in Saudi Arabia. In March 2025, Tiandingfeng’s Canadian production, R&D and logistics base officially started construction. Relying on close cooperation with partners, the construction of the new factory will further enhance our comprehensive presence in the North American market. Combined competitive advantages, shorten the supply chain cycle, improve response efficiency, provide better services to customers, and bring new employment opportunities to the local economy.
